All roll dimensions — wire diameter, mesh opening, roll width, roll length, and zinc coating weight — are manufactured to your specified requirements. No minimum on custom sizes for repeat orders; samples available before bulk production.

Not sure which opening size fits your project? Use the cards below as a starting point — each one notes the typical wire gauge, roll dimensions, and the applications it's most commonly ordered for. Custom sizes available on all configurations.
The tightest opening in our standard roll range. Choose this size when containment of small animals or debris is the priority — the 6.35 mm opening prevents entry by mice, chicks, and similar. Not recommended where the mesh will bear significant lateral load; step up to 1/2" with heavier gauge wire for structural applications.
Our single most-ordered roll size. The 12.7 mm opening works for poultry and rabbit enclosures where ventilation matters but predator entry must be blocked. If you are fencing against rats specifically, stay with 1/4". If your application is larger livestock or general perimeter, 1" with heavier wire is more cost-effective per metre.
The standard choice for perimeter fencing, construction site barriers, and crop protection where the mesh needs to hold its shape under tension across longer spans. Available in three wire gauges — 19G for light-duty, 16G for general construction, 14G where impact resistance or heavier loads are expected.
Preferred for livestock enclosures and temporary site fencing where material cost per metre matters. The larger opening reduces steel weight without compromising the structural frame. Not suitable where small animal containment is needed — for that, use 1/2" or 1". Commonly ordered in 16G for cattle yards and 18G for tree guards and temporary barriers.
Rectangular opening designed for horse and cattle fencing where the longer horizontal span reduces the number of vertical wires needed, lowering cost while maintaining adequate containment. The 14G wire holds post-to-post tension without significant sagging over spans up to 3 m. If you need the same strength with a tighter opening, the 1"×2" roll below is the alternative.
A tighter alternative to the 2"×4" for buyers who need the rectangular opening format but with better small-animal containment. Commonly used for rabbit hutch side panels, shelving liners, and partitions where horizontal and vertical load requirements differ. The asymmetric opening also provides directional stiffness — stronger along the short axis.

Standard roll lengths: 15 m, 30 m, 50 m. Custom widths, lengths, and gauges available on request.
How to read this table: Start with the mesh opening that matches your containment requirement, then select wire diameter based on load and span. For small animal containment (rabbits, poultry, chicks), use openings of 1/4" to 1/2" with 19–23G wire. For perimeter fencing and construction barriers, 1" to 2" openings with 14–16G wire provide better structural strength at lower cost per metre. For heavy industrial or livestock applications with spans over 2 m, choose 3 mm wire diameter or above. Not sure? Send us your application details and we will recommend the right combination.

Anping Yangze Metal Wire Mesh Co., Ltd. manufactures welded wire mesh rolls in Anping, Hebei — the county that produces over 60% of China's wire mesh exports. We have operated our own production facility since 2005, running 12 automated resistance-welding lines with a combined monthly output of 2,000+ tonnes. Every roll leaves the factory with a mill certificate recording wire diameter, mesh opening, zinc coating weight, and tensile strength — not because it is required, but because our repeat buyers ask for it by default.
Request a QuoteOur standard electro galvanized roll range covers wire diameters from 0.5 mm to 4.0 mm, mesh openings from 6.35×6.35 mm (1/4") to 101.6×101.6 mm (4"), and roll widths from 0.3 m to 2.4 m. For buyers with non-standard requirements — unusual wire gauges, specific roll lengths, or custom zinc coating weights — we work from your written specification with agreed lead times and pre-shipment samples available before full production begins.

Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015. Wire and coating compliance can be tested to ASTM A 185, EN 10080, or customer-specified standards — SGS and Bureau Veritas (BV) third-party inspection can be arranged at the factory prior to container loading, at the buyer's request. All shipments are accompanied by a full packing list, mill certificate, and COA (Certificate of Analysis). We have supplied first-time trial orders from 1 FCL and established importers running monthly blanket orders — both receive the same batch documentation and pre-shipment photo confirmation.
