Powder coated welded wire mesh panels are among the most versatile industrial wire products available today. They are widely used in residential and commercial fencing, garden trellises and raised bed liners, pet kennels and livestock enclosures, playground and sports court barriers, warehouse partitions and security cages, concrete reinforcement, road and bridge barriers, and decorative architectural applications. The thermosetting powder coating provides long-term corrosion resistance and an attractive, maintenance-free finish suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations in virtually any climate zone.
Powder coating applies a polymer resin layer electrostatically then bakes it at 160–200 °C, creating a smooth, colorful, and impact-resistant finish. It excels at corrosion resistance, UV stability, and aesthetic appeal with a wide range of RAL color options. Galvanizing applies a zinc metallic layer (either hot-dip or electro-galvanized) that sacrificially corrodes to protect the steel underneath — providing excellent bare-metal durability especially in heavy industrial environments. For the best of both worlds, Yangze offers galvanized base + powder coat dual-protection panels, where the zinc layer continues to protect the steel even if the powder coat surface is scratched or damaged.
Standard colors available from stock include Black (RAL 9005), Green (RAL 6005), White (RAL 9010), and Gray (RAL 7016). For custom orders with sufficient quantity, we can match any RAL number or Pantone reference — including safety yellow, orange, red, brown, and custom brand colors. Marine-grade coating options are also available for coastal environments. Custom colors typically add 10–25% to the base panel price and require a slightly longer lead time for powder preparation.
With standard polyester powder coating at 60–100 μm thickness, outdoor service life is typically 8–12 years before any visible color fade or surface degradation in moderate climates. In harsh environments (coastal salt air, industrial chemicals, extreme UV), we recommend our marine-grade or super-durable TGIC polyester powder coat, which extends the expected service life to 15+ years. Regular cleaning with water extends the life even further. Unlike liquid paint, powder coat does not peel or chip under normal use — it tends to fade gradually over many years rather than fail suddenly.
The most common stock panel sizes are 4' × 8' (1.2 m × 2.4 m), 3' × 6' (0.9 m × 1.8 m), 5' × 7' (1.5 m × 2.1 m), and 6' × 8' (1.8 m × 2.4 m). However, Yangze manufactures to fully custom dimensions with no minimum panel size restriction. Width up to 2.5 m and length up to 6 m can be accommodated depending on mesh specification.
